Job description | Having launched its own editorial platform in 2016, Magnum Photos reaches a global audience through the magnumphotos.com website, as well as a social media community of over 5 million followers. Sitting within the Digital team and reporting to the Digital Manager, this role is responsible for nurturing and growing Magnum’s social media following, reaching new audiences and helping to create lifelong advocates for the brand. Main tasks: publish content across all social media channels – write copy, make image edits and create visual assets; manage the social media content calendar, ensuring it reflects and supports the editorial calendar as well as cross-departmental marketing activities; schedule content and ensure it is published at the right time and on the right platform; review all user engagements and respond to comments or escalate where necessary; manage the creation of social content for branded campaigns; support organic content with the creation of targeted Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns; develop new initiatives for engagement and growth; review performance data across channels and track content performance; produce weekly/monthly social media and content performance reports; support the team in the development of social media proposals; advise on social media best practice, industry updates and new platforms; contribute to editorial calendar and develop new story ideas.

Candidate qualifications | In-depth knowledge of social media, audience building, campaign planning and current social media trends; excellent copywriting skills and effective ideas for content generation across social media, website and advertising; experience of producing content and images for individual channels, including use of Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency in use of social media and website analysis tools to produce reports; understanding of paid social media promotion and knowledge of advertising platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager; experience using website content management systems; self-motivated and able to take initiative, working both individually and as part of a team; excellent communication skills; interest in photography, the arts, culture and current affairs.
