Job description | Grow the company community, devising and implementing a commissioning strategy to maintain  content at a high standard and engage the network of talented creators around the world; work on special editorial projects on an ad hoc basis; build a reliable network of talented creators to deliver high-quality lists and stories and ensure content freshness; help to devise a commissioning strategy for the upkeep of our content across a wide range of locations (content maintenance); devise an engagement plan for existing creators in non-focus locations; develop a sustainable process for managing speculative pitches and creator applications; editorial management of special content initiatives or requests; implement a creative strategy in the production and maintenance of content; apply insights to ensure consistency in the quality of company recommendations; develop briefs and edit articles, working hand-in-hand with the copy editing team; work with the Community Engagement Manager to identify and position special creators and ‘influencers’ in content strategy to increase trust in recommendations.

Candidate qualifications | 3+ years of experience as a community editor, commissioning editor, editorial operations manager or similar at an online publication or tech company; operationally-minded with a deep understanding of what makes great content and storytelling; data-driven and analytical mindset, with a personable, professional and diplomatic demeanour; excellent self-management, organisational skills and the ability to work quickly and flexibly; excellent at working independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of integrity and personal responsibility; remote management experience is a strong asset; proficient user of G Suite – knowledge of WordPress a big plus.
